SCART

indy SCART is our Community Arts programme offering a range of arts activities to all members of the local community. Our impact has grown considerably since our programme began back in 2008. We work extensively with our local Primary schools offering after school clubs to both Junior and Infant level. We also have activity programmes for pre-school children as well as our own students and programmes for the adult community.....

Pakistan UK Visit

Connecting Classrooms Project 2013

Connecting Classrooms was in full force this term as teachers and educational advisors from Pakistan came over to the UK to see how our education system works. For the last 4 years Hollingwood Primary, Grassmoor Primary, Springwell Community College and Global Education Derby have been working in partnership with 5 schools over in Pakistan. Last October five UK teachers were given the opportunity to see what life was really like over in Pakistan and how they would face the daily challenge of teaching 70 students in one class. It was an amazing experience and strengthened the partnership further. Since then regular Skyping sessions have continued between the students from each school to build upon relationships as well as the development of new and exciting projects for the year. Read More
