SCART

indySCART is our Community Arts programme which has been operational since 2008. The programme offers a range of different arts activities to our whole community with weekly programmes for children, young people and adults. We work extensively within our primary schools, offering after school clubs too. Scart also has partnerships with Derbyshire Adult Education Service and offers a range of programmes. We also have a positive partnership with Chesterfield Football Club Community Trust who help provide a range of sporting opportunities

Pakistan UK Visit

Connecting Classrooms Project 2013

Connecting Classrooms was in full force this term as teachers and educational advisors from Pakistan came over to the UK to see how our education system works. For the last 4 years Hollingwood Primary, Grassmoor Primary, Springwell Community College and Global Education Derby have been working in partnership with 5 schools over in Pakistan. Last October five UK teachers were given the opportunity to see what life was really like over in Pakistan and how they would face the daily challenge of teaching 70 students in one class. It was an amazing experience and strengthened the partnership further. Since then regular Skyping sessions have continued between the students from each school to build upon relationships as well as the development of new and exciting projects for the year. Read More
